Someone was shot and killed and another person was shot and injured this morning in eastern New Orleans, police said.
The shooting happened about 11:30 a.m. in the 7400 block of Woodbine Street, police said.
No other details were immediately available.

Turns out that the shootings happened at 11:30 p.m., as was reported in
a more complete story a couple of hours later, and that two men were shot, one fatally, while allegedly burglarizing the home of the person that shot them. There are no less than ten comments to that story celebrating the death of the one man and bemoaning the fact that the other lived. Here are a few examples:
